Made in Norway,
with patience.
Handcrafted Nordic is the studio behind the handmade pieces at SkogsTre – epoxy bowls, turned wooden cups, handcrafted cutting boards and decorative objects made by hand in Norway.
We started because we believed in the value of things made slowly. Not mass-produced, not identical, not disposable. Objects that take skill and time to make – and that last for years as a result.
We work with natural materials: Norwegian oak, exotic hardwoods and high-quality epoxy resin. The combination of organic wood grain and the liquid, flowing quality of epoxy creates surfaces that are unlike anything made by machine.
What we believe
Made by hand
Every object we make is made by hand. Turned on a lathe, cast in a mould, sanded by hand, finished with oil. No automation. No shortcuts.
Natural materials
We work with wood from Norwegian forests and responsibly sourced exotic species. The material comes first. We work with it, not against it.
Unique every time
We do not make the same thing twice. Every grain pattern, every epoxy swirl is different. The variation is the point – it is what makes each object yours.
Made to last
We make things to be kept. Not to be replaced in two years. An epoxy bowl or an oak cutting board from our studio should outlast its owner.
Common questions
Where are the products made?
All handcrafted objects are made in Norway – in our studio. We do not outsource production. Each piece is made by hand, on site.
Where can I buy the products?
All products are available through SkogsTre.no. We ship from Norway to all of Europe. Shipping is free over 499 NOK.
Are the products truly unique?
Yes. No two pieces are identical. Wood grain varies between every piece of timber. Epoxy swirls, colour patterns and the line where wood meets resin – none of these can be controlled to produce exact copies. Each piece is its own.
Can I order a custom piece?
Sometimes. We occasionally take custom orders for bowls, cutting boards and epoxy pieces. Contact us through SkogsTre.no to discuss.
Is epoxy food-safe?
Yes – we use food-grade, cured epoxy resin on all pieces intended for kitchen use. Fully cured epoxy is inert and safe for contact with food. Our cutting boards and serving pieces are finished and tested for food contact.
How do I care for wood and epoxy pieces?
Hand wash with mild soap and dry immediately. Never dishwasher. Oil wooden pieces with food-grade oil 2–4 times a year. Epoxy surfaces can be lightly polished with a soft cloth. Read more on our craft page.
